Savings proof
See how Varsten separates estimates from billable verified savings using direct avoided cost, holdbacks, replay evidence, and overhead subtraction.
Estimates are not invoices
Varsten can show opportunity estimates, but estimates do not become billable savings by themselves. Billable savings require accepted methodology and evidence.
Proof methods
- Direct avoided cost from exact cache hits or equivalent eliminated calls.
- Holdback comparisons where a slice of traffic preserves the original path.
- Replay evidence for approved workloads where counterfactual comparison is appropriate.
- Overhead subtraction for Varsten processing or additional provider work.
Invoice traceability
Savings records should connect to provider pricing, workload labels, route policy, optimization mechanism, and the period being billed.
Finance posture
The fee model is based on verified savings, capped by the commercial agreement. Recommendations and changes a customer makes independently should not be treated as billable savings unless the agreement says so.
